TOOLS
YOU WILL NEED

Steel Building Garages utilizes industry-leading Do-It-Yourself engineering to provide our customers with the highest quality steel structures that are as easy as 1-2-3 to put together. We want your induction into the family of Steel Building Garages owners to be a simple, all-inclusive process. That is why we have designed our steel building kits with the average Joe and Jane in mind.

For the construction of your steel building garage kit from Steel Building Garages, you will need the following standard and simple-to-use tools:

Necessary tool for easy assembly
Our steel buildings go up with only one size of screw. The beauty of screws, as opposed to bolts, is that it cuts down on the construction time and difficulty.  All you need to put the pieces together is a 516″ screw socket to go with your power drill. This takes away the necessity of additional attachments for different-sized screws or bolts and additional tools to keep pesky nuts in place.
Ladder is necessary for assembly

You will need a ladder to put up your steel building from Steel Building Garages. We wish you could put your steel building kit with just a power drill and your hands, but naturally, due to the height of any steel building, a ladder or two is a great idea.

Measuring tape is needed for successful assembly

If you’re not familiar with construction technique, THAT’S OKAY, but here’s one of those little tricks of the trade that can save you a lot of heartache: “Measure twice, cut once.” Though no cutting at all will be required for your steel building from Steel Building Garages, the principle remains the same… accurately measuring your project is very important!

Level and String will help keep building straight and on track

Straight Lines make for Straight Buildings! Every piece of your steel building comes precisely engineered straight from Steel Building Garages’s factory in Wilkesboro, NC. However, due to variance in soil, foundation, and the human eye, we recommend that you use a Level for the same reason you would use a Tape Measure. Furthermore, a simple roll of string can help to keep your building on track while it goes up.

Hammer

(Depending on your foundation) — Some setups may require a hammer to attach the frame of your steel building to your foundation. Ask a Marketing Director, while he meets with you about our Display Program, if you will want to borrow one for your project.

A couple of friends

We wish you could unpack your brand new steel building from Steel Building Garages and put it up all by yourself in one hour while maintaining the industry leading durability we hold dear, but that just isn’t possible. Our factory engineers are tirelessly working on that technology for your convenience, but until then we suggest that you mark out a weekend that a couple of friends can help you put your steel building up.

The method is simple, the tools are common and easy to use, and the building goes up like a breeze with our all-inclusive instructions.
